About Kate

Kate Beck is an event planner, tv host, and condiment junkie who fully embrace’s her sass.  After making her first batch of tomato jam for brunch on New Year’s Day 2014 {think: Hoppin’ John cakes, shirred eggs with farmhouse cheddar and scallions, and arugula salad} a business was born.  Living in Baltimore, MD with her daughter Charlotte, Kate continually finds inspiration in Charm City’s rich, local food & foodie scene.  Blessed with talented chefs, farmers, and restauranteurs and a gifted crew of foodpreneurs, there’s always something new to see, taste and enjoy.  Whether the “it” is Sassy’s Tomato Jam or not, if you spy a new market treat, may you always “buy it, try it and #SpreadTheSass”.
